Using DB Portlet you can create easily applications that access to relational databases. These applications run in WebSphere Portal Server or IBM WorkPlace.

To realize the application there are two simple steps. The first  is to design/have the relational model of the data. The second step is to configure the DB Portlets to access the data without programming. Thanks to some features of IBM Portal (like Collaborative Portlet standard) the programmer/configurator can combine the portlets to obtain a custom user interface. The DB Portlets are able to communicate with other portlets.

DB Portlet is a component of eRAD Family. eRAD is a collections of applications, software artifacts and patterns that SANTIN E ASSOCATI developed to create fast applications in J2EE and WebSphere environments. eRAD was used with success in many applications and scenarios.
